Ghosts and Echoes 3.06
RS Pup: 10x more massive than the sun, on average it is 15000 times more luminous. This be a variable star! This star's importance lies in it's use as the baseline for determining the cosmic distance scale. RS Pup "pulsates" over a period of about 40 days. This is seen in the "Nebula Delay in Time" effect- effectively a light echo.
